The Marshall Boy’s Basketball team is currently getting ready as the season is nearing upon us all in about 3 weeks and the team is not wasting a single day not getting ready. As you know the saying practice makes perfect and from what I saw that saying is definitely a basis for the team because from what I know about basketball practice does make perfect and eventually will end up paying off for the team and considering they already are such a good team with very good communication then it will shape the part of the team that falls off sometimes. As I was watching the team practice I noticed that every couple minutes the coach would switch up what the team practices to make sure he is targeting the variety of scenarios in basketball. The team is also focusing on increasing their ability to adapt to a play during the middle of a quarter. Altogether this doesn’t seem like the team I watched last year rather it has become a team that is focused on one of the most important variables in basketball which is practice. If you were to ask a student from Marshall such as Garen Mkhitaryan who has been watching the basketball games for almost two years now then you will get a similar response to my question which is “Do you think the boy’s basketball team has room to improve?” His reply to the question is that “I think the boy’s basketball team is already good but if they want to obviously get to the top they need to practice more and I think they have the potential to get there.” And if you want to really get the inside details as to what’s different about the way the team practices then who better to ask than one of the players on the team “Gabriel St. Andrew” who responded saying that this year there is going to be a lot of change to the team this year. Just be prepared as the season draws near and watch out for any big changes that happen to the team throughout the year and just know that practice is what makes perfect.
