For those of you who don’t know, The Haunted Hotel (known by some as, “The Haunt”) was a Halloween-themed attraction led by the school’s Drama Club. These students had apparently been practicing after school for this hotel, which opened on October 26th and 27th.

The Haunt takes place solely in the school’s auditorium, with people waiting in long line at the entrance. Probably the scariest part of the hotel happened at said entrance, where an ugly child named Clyde went around yelling in people’s ears at random.

People were required to go into the hotel with groups, instead of everyone just entering one-by-one. In the auditorium, more conventionally attractive people with makeup and costumes would scream at you while you were walking around in the dark auditorium. Unfortunately, the actors were not allowed to attack the customers, which I’d say would’ve made the whole thing more fun. But hey, I don’t make the rules. I just write articles when I have nothing better to do and need to pass the time.

Anyways, the hotel seemed pretty short and the group I was with only had lukewarm reactions, but the acting was amazing. To think that people my age were working so hard on this hotel while I was sitting at home playing video games really gave me an existential crisis. It was a problem only playing more video games could cure.
