Blocked websites

Nolan McCreight, Reporter

The internet at Marshall has slowly become more and more restrictive. First it was only inappropriate websites depicting things of a sexual nature that were blocked , and that was fine. Then everything else started getting blocked. Game sites, blogs, and even some google sites are blocked from the average Marshall WiFi user. Everything stayed that way for a while, until about midway through last year, when Youtube got blocked. The administration maintains that it was for more bandwidth, which is reasonable, but what is not reasonable is that the school added hundreds of Chromebooks to the network without adding any more bandwidth to the network. Will it stay blocked? For how long?
